A biotechnology saliva testing company has partnered with Henry Schein, the world’s largest provider of health care solutions to office-based dental and medical practitioners.

Oral Genome’s mobile-compatible test kits provide clinical-grade results in less than 15 minutes, without the need for lab processing. The kits analyse key salivary biomarkers linked to conditions such as dental caries, periodontal disease and diabetes.

“Expanded point-of-care testing offerings align with our mission to advance prevention and wellness through systemic health models, and Oral Genome offers dentists and physicians a powerful tool to elevate care,” Dirk Benson, president of Henry Schein’s U.S. Distribution Group, said in a news release Tuesday.

The partnership will roll out through Henry Schein’s distribution channels, targeting dental practices, community health clinics and medical offices seeking new preventive care techniques.

“Our point-of-care testing equips practitioners with actionable insights, transforming routine visits into opportunities for whole-health advocacy,” said Dr. Tina Saw, CEO of Oral Genome.

This is not the first time Henry Schein has partnered with a saliva testing company. In 2024, the company announced it would distribute Viome’s Oral Health Pro with CancerDetect test, which screens for oral and throat cancer.
